Hogan is having a good day after a great night last night. Hogan and I slept great in the NICU last night. This morning we got to dress Hogan with his first outfit! Dr. Morales said that there were no major concerns from the Ultrasound yesterday! He continues to be stable. We are so thankful for all of the prayers and encouragement from your messages. We are so blessed. Thank you.

  14. I just had to comment on your blog - I am blown away by your family's story. I actually found your blog through someone I follow on Twitter, but was shocked to see mention of Dr. Morales and St. Mary's. My twin girls were in the NICU at St. Mary's, and my sister has a baby there now - he's actually a "neighbor" of Hogan - his name is Braydon. My thoughts and prayers are with your family!

  20. Dear Kip and Angie ~ Even though this is our first time posting a comment, I hope you know that you have contantly been in our thoughts and especially our prayers throughout the last few months. We love you guys so much, and we can only imagine what you must be feeling at this point in your journey with Hogan. Our hearts break for you, yet at the same time, we know how situations like these can take you just where you need to be ~ and that is at the feet of Jesus! I read in a devotion not long ago that "some of life's greatest blessings come with a challenge." We both know how true that can be. I'm also reminded of the words to a song that we came to love when Caley was born, and I think you will agree that ~ "Sometimes miracles hide ~ and God will wrap some blessings in disguise ~ we may have to wait this lifetime to see the reasons with our eyes ~ but we know...... sometimes miracles hide."

This quote also reminds me of you guys and I will leave you with it: When you place your Hope squarely at the foot of the cross ~ when you place your Jesus squarely at the center of your life ~ you will be blessed.

We love you, Skip and Johanna
