Day 4 for Hogan!

Hogan has had a great night and day. He didn't wake me up with his alarms going off this morning. He has had all of his pals back that work at St. Mary's that were off for Easter. Dr. Rosemond even made a special visit to see him. We are so thankful for all of the prayers and support that are coming Hogan's way. I just wanted to give a quick update. Angie, Noah, Lily and I can't thank you enough for praying and loving Hogan. A friend of mine said something funny to me one time. He called someone "Elmer". I asked why are you calling him "Elmer"? He said because he is the glue that keeps it all together! I thought that was funny. Hogan is the "glue" that is keeping us all together! He is a gift from God and every breath continues to be a miracle. I look forward to writing another letter to Hogan tonight. God Bless you!! In His Love, Kip

  4. Kip and Angie,
Brother Bill offered up a prayer request yesterday before the Easter Sunday service for a "special family" (we all knew it was meant for Hogan and all of you) and your situation. Just know that now you have hundreds more praying for Hogan now.
Kip, your journaling is so touching. Thanks for the beautiful bible verses, inspiration, loving devotion to Angie and your family, and for the most precious photos of Hogan. He is an amazing fighter and so loved!
We love you all and continue to pray for Baby Hogan.

  8. Kip I pray Hogan's Journey that GOD is taking him on will Minister to others!! Even though my family & myself believe in GOD, Hogan's Journey has ministered to us! I pray if there are people following his BIG Journey & doesn't believe there is a God that can save you & a SAVIOR that died for them to set them FREE that they will find SALVATION through this Journey! Even everyone seeing that ya'll are keeping the FAITH when times seem difficult is a TESTIMONY!!! YOUR FAMILY is BEAUTIFUL & the LOVE of GOD ya'll are holding true to is the POWER OF GOD!! GOD BLESS all of you!! in Christ, wanda davis & family

  9. I don't know you personally, but I received an email awhile back requesting prayer for your family. So, I have been checking the blog since then.

I wanted to leave a comment hoping that it would encourage you to see how much God is using your story to touch the lives of others. I rejoice with you in the answered prayers that you have already seen and pray with you for many more.

God is giving you an incredible gift of focused time-so that you celebrate each HOUR of Hogan's life. And, these blogs are priceless. You are capturing the moments as they happen so they won't be lost with the passing of time.

May you continually feel the power, presence, and peace of God and continue to share it with others.

  11. Thank you so much for sharing your story. My husband, Mickey and several of our friends and I check for updates daily--sometimes hourly. We do not know you guys but we feel so attached to you and especially Hogan. We all love him so much! He is a beautiful blessing to all of us. Our son's Trisomy 18 story is so much like yours except we did not have a live birth. We did get to hold Michael Ryan and love on him after the birth but he already had his perfect body in heaven with Jesus. We made it through that very tough time by depending on God and having the wonderful support from friends and family like you have. It has been the hard times that have really shaped our lives and helped us become who we are today. Isaiah 45:3 tells us that God says "I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places". Sometimes there are things we can learn only by going into the darkness--the unknown--like having a Trisomy 18 precious baby. I know this is so true for us. We came through our darkest time stronger because we received the treasures we could only get by going through the darkness.

    Please keep us updated!
Our thoughts and prayers and with you guys!
