HOGAN IS HERE!!!!!!

HOGAN

We have a beautiful little Trisomy 18 baby boy! He came into this world weighing 3 lbs. and 3 ounces! God is so good. We have prayed since November for a live birth and we got it! I can't tell you how excited we are to have Hogan here. Thank you so much for your prayers. He is doing alright right now. He has some of the characteristics that go along with Trisomy 18 that just make him more special! I couldn't be more proud of him. Angie is doing great and was amazing this morning. She is sleeping now. We have the heart specialist coming after lunch to check on his heart but right now he continues to fight to live. He is truly a "young warrior"!

I can't thank you enough for your prayers. I ask for continued prayers for Hogan because he is going to have a rough road ahead of him. I will try and update this blog later today or this evening to let you know how things are going. We are going to enjoy every breath right now!

Thank you for your prayers!!!!

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don't give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going. Through suffering, these bodies of ours constantly share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.

Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be obvious in our dying bodies. So we live in the face of death, but it has resulted in eternal life for you. 2 Corinthians 4:8-12

  7. I have had the pleasure of caring for dozens of babies with T18 and I am so encouraged and challenged by the amazing gift of God that these little ones are to families that trust Him. My prayer for you is that you would continue to be a shining example of Christ and his love for man to those caring for Hogan. It is a "one of a kind" testimony - Brian Stansfield

  15. We are so glad to hear the news, and we love the pictures on Facebook. Beautiful family and a precious blessing in Hogan! We can't wait to see y'all soon and know we're praying for y'all, as are a lot of people in our small groups and women's Bible study at Watkinsville FBC. People are asking about y'all and encouraged and strengthened by your blog that don't even know you! God is working through Hogan and has such a great purpose for his life. What a Good Friday! The Giver of Life has given Hogan life, and He gives all of us life! Keep us posted. We love y'all! Russ, Shelley, and Carleigh
